A modern Sino-Kadazandusun woman's tribute to the traditional Sinuangga blouse and Tapi' skirt of her ancestors, traditionally worn during the Harvest Festival. In the urban landscape, she continues to honour the rice-farming traditions of sowing and harvesting; but the fruits of her labour take on a new form.
The HarVest front closure features an interlocking pattern inspired by interwoven threads on the borders of a Sinuangga. Gold buttons pay homage to gold-plated Betawi buttons, traditionally used to symbolise the wearer's wealth.
On the flip side, a detachable gold chain that ornaments the back. You can also wear the Har-vest on reverse for a tunic look. Finally, pockets to rest your arms between bouts of work, play, and harvesting your dreams.
The Gather Dress is a silk-blend chiffon maxi, framed by a red border around the hip and down the slit—echoing the trimmings on a Tapi' Skirt. A straight neckline against spaghetti straps made from luxurious bridal satin complete this elegant and bold look.
Like the generations of women who inspired the Gather dress, it is an ever-versatile, ever-adapting piece that will unlock endless combinations with your favourite dresses, skirts, pants, lingerie and more.
